Ranchito el Garbanzo, established in 2013, reflects Chef Donnie’s commitment to sustainability and organic farming. It supplies most of the restaurant’s produce, embodying his vision of a sustainable food ecosystem. Chef Donnie ensures minimal environmental impact through innovative farming techniques like composting and using natural fertilizers. The farm also educates visitors about organic farming and sustainability, aiming to inspire others to embrace a sustainable lifestyle.

Cañada de la Virgen is a vast, rugged and historic terrain located near the Laja River Basin on the western perimeter of San Miguel de Allende, in the Mexican state of Guanajuato. It boasts high mountain ranges, ancient pyramids, natural springs and the winding Virgin River with its many canyons, a place that our indigenous cattle, horses, fauna and flora call home.

Bodega Organica is an organic farming collective founded 10 years ago by horticulture expert Luc Monzies.

We have a clear mission to improve the lives of the people of San Miguel de Allende, offering not only fresh organic products, but also the knowledge and training so that people can grow their own products in their home or business.
